Neoprene is a family of synthetic rubbers that exhibits good chemical stability and maintains flexibility over a wide range of temperatures. It resists degradation more than other natural and synthetic rubbers. It can be found in demanding applications such as gaskets and hoses. Often it is used as a liner for landfills. It is commonly used as a material for fishing waders and in the form containing gas cells is used to make wetsuits. Additionally it cans be used to make laptop and tablet sleeves. Some people are allergic to neoprene and neoprene degrades in the presence of some fairly common chemicals.
